Hey fellow riders,
I had an unusual experience during my last track day at Jäärata and could really use some insights. On the final lap, I noticed my bike started to drift unexpectedly on a section where I usually have solid traction.
Here’s a bit more context:
Weather was clear, around -2°C.
Running studded tires, pressure checked before the session.
I was maintaining my usual speed and line through the corner.
The drift felt more like a slide, almost as if I hit an ice patch, but the surface looked consistent.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could it be an issue with my tires, or perhaps something to do with the bike’s setup? Any advice or troubleshooting tips would be greatly appreciated!
Ride safe,
costumeaf

Hey costumeaf, sounds like a slippery spot caught you off guard! It could be the tire wear, pressure, or even hidden ice patches. Make sure to check your tire condition and suspension setup for those cold conditions
